Slow shifting A6
My A6 in paddle-shift mode seems to be slow when upshifting, and it is not nearly as much fun as I thought it would be because of this characteristic. This C6 has about 700 miles on it. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm wondering if I am going to have to buy a tuner in order to get firmer upshifts.

When I manually upshift my a4 it is also slow. I must anticipate the redline and move it up at 6,000 rpm's because if I wait till the redline it will go into a protect mode and be REALLY SLOW to upshift. Best to leave it in D or in your case S or D . The paddles are gimmicks to sell cars and compete more then effective improvements.

Turn traction control off. You can leave active handling on. It will shift faster. It's in the manual where it talks about using the paddle shifters.
