Codes after Header install - Kooks vs LGs
How is the long tube LG vs. the shorter tube Kooks in throwing codes?
The difference of sensor location on the LG and Kooks is quite a bit.
Without editing how many of you are getting codes with the new LGs?
How many with the Kooks?

I was getting a "cat heat sensor warning" CEL but it was tracked down to a damaged O2 sensor. No other codes in 6 months on my C6.

I had a lean condition code until it was tuned...Kooks. It is not just if you have headers but what your other mods are that totals a different A/F ratio.

Thanks guys, It appears that there is no difference between the Kooks and LGs for throwing codes.

No headers throw codes. If your car needs tuning due to the combo of mods you run then you get a check engine light. Different mods cause changes in fueling and the car can only compensate so far to maintain stoic. ALL CARS run leaner at closed loop with headers which causes more fuel to be dumped in on WOT. Closed loop will remain at 14.7:1 to a point then it will lean out beyond that causing the check engine light. It isn't a header malfunction or poor design.
