hey guys i just got my c6 calipers powdercoated and iam kinda trippin about the bleeding the brakes can anyone give me some good pointers tips how to do this correct i know you have to keep pushing the brake ped then hold it down and drain a couple of times
Very simple. There is a tool at Autozone for $7 that will bleed the brakes for you. Very easy and comes with clear instructions. Or you can grab a buddy have him pump up the brakes till they get firm. When he tells you the brakes are "up" you give a little flick of the wrist and open the brake bleeder valve. When the pedal goes to the floor you close the valve and repeat. then move on to the next wheel.

It makes it almost too easy and costs under $25
I have these on ALL my vehicles, and it makes it easy to flush the system on a periodic basis. This is good maintenance, since the brake fluid (DOT 3 or DOT 4) will pick up moisture from the atmosphere, lowering its boiling point, and encouraging corrosion in the brake components.
I flush completely every 2 years, but then, the air here in Florida is pretty humid .
