Yes it is a single CD. There is a changer for one of the rear compartments but I don't know if it is a factory option, I know you can order it from your dealer.
When you get the NAV radio, you get a single CD player in dash. As mentioned above, there is a 6 CD changer available BUT the '06 cars with NAV can play MP3's. You can also now update the '05 NAV radios to play MP3's. Personally, I see no need at all for a changer with a radio that plays MP3's.
I have a number of MP3 discs so I can carry a bunch of music with only 2 or 3 MP3 discs in the car at a time. I believe one of my MP3 discs with the least number of songs on it will play for over 11 hours without repeating a single song. There are something like 188 songs in 13 folder/albums on that disc.
I'm definitely going to upgrade the BlueCoupe for MP3 format. Guess the dealer will know what to do? Probably?? Maybe???
Don't count on your dealership knowing what the deal is. I actually took the instructions with all the information for the upgrade procedure as well as the part number of the upgrade disc from GM and put it in the hands of the service department manager. He assured me that he would check it out and call me. I waited for 3 weeks and then called him to see what the status was. He told me he hadn't found any information yet but he hadn't forgotten me. Again he said he would handle it. Another two weeks go by and I got tired of waiting. I downloaded the files for the upgrade from this forum and did the update myself in about 10 minutes. Twelve minutes after I started the process, my radio was playing an MP3 disc. The entire process was as smooth as glass. Here's the link that will give you all you need to know about the update. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...&postcount=152

Almost the exact same thing happened to me. Do it yourself and you know that it is done.
