Just seen the SLP CatBack system on line and in a Corvette Mag. Anyone out there have this system? I am especially interested in anyone with a A6? What do you think? Sound? Quality?
I too have been looking for some response on the SLP exhaust. I love the looks of the SLP cast square tips and will most likely get those. I heard and saw them at the Funfest this year, good sound at idle and when reving, but not sure while driving. There just isnt enough out there yet. I might be one of the first.........
I've read it uses only one muffler???? Not too sure on how this is working/performing. I guess the 4 tips block the view of having just one muffler????
I believe the housing or muffler is just one unit, with the internal workings for 2 seperate. They claim 10 hp gains. Dont think thats as high as soom others.
I like the looks cause it fits the rear valance opening well, and the square tips are a different look all together than the normal round tips, plus the cast look is a little unique.
You are correct, single housing acts as 2 mufflers internally. SLP has all ways been on the conservative side when listing gains.
I wonder why the muffler configuration is different from the system shown they call "Powerflo" w/traezoidal tips. That system clearly shows there are two mufflers. If you can trust the sound clips, the two systems do sound a bit different from each other. When I say trust the sound clips, I mean that we don't know how they were recorded. Unless both systems were recorded at the same time under the same conditions, they probably will sound different just because of that.

The quad outlet exhaust is a newer model. The sound is unique to each system. I find the newer 4 outlet system deeper and more of a '60's muscle car sound. Just my opinion.
