Default 1/8 mile time

My 1/8 mile time was R/T-.523_60'-2.084_330-5.423_1/8-8.085_MPH-94.72. Traction was an issue it was very hard to stay hooked up in 1st and 2nd. What should my aproxamite time in the 1/4 mile be? Thanks

Yes it was on street tires I spun all through 1st and most of 2nd .(wheel hop was scary) I'm going to have to do something to get the power to the ground. I'm sure more drag experience would also help.

I'm going to stick my head out here a little and say that your MPH in the 1/4 would be around 117 and close to a 12.0. The is GREAT MPH on the 1/8 for a 2.0 60 ft. You can run high 11's if you get the 60 ft down a bit. That's almost 95 mph in the 1/8!!! Congrats.

Oh and PS. I'll take a .523 light on a .500 tree all day long. Nice RT too. Has nothing to do with your ET, but a lot of races are won at the tree.

Most tracks now do not use the .500 tree anymore, they switched last year to a .000 tree, and it just counts from the time the light is lit.

Yeah, that's a new one on me. Normally you have a .400 pro tree or a .500 tree. He posted an RT of .523 so I assumed that he cut a good RT. At my local 1/4 track, a .500 tree is perfect light. Unless they are running a pro tree, a .400 is a prefect light.

K-Line,

My mods are very simular to yours excluding the headers and I ran a 11.9 on the quarter mile. My 1/8 mile time was alittle better then yours as I hade about a 7.8 I believe but I only had tire spin at launch.

If i could get my 60FT time down from the 2.0 range with these street tires Im sure 11.5 would be possable. You might be spraying of the line which may be gving you alot of traction issues.

Your 1/4 Mile ET is 12.68 seconds computed from your vehicle 1/8th ET of 8.085 seconds.
Your 1/4 Mile MPH is 117.45 MPH computed from your vehicle 1/8th MPH of 94.72 MPH.

These cars can run 12.6's stock with a 8.30 1/8 mile. You have to consider the fact that it spun and killed the 1/8 ET. He had a little bit of trouble with the 1/8, but still went 8.0 at 94mph. The hard work is over at that point, you're already going 94mph and you can spray it the rest of the way!

K-Line, there's no doubt in my mind that you would have ran a very low 12 second pass @ around 117 mph.

k line, I'll see you at irwindale sometime.

I've seen stock c6's go 88 so he picked up about 6 mph. Not bad.

That's more of a low 12 in the 1/4. Damn nice run.

I want to go to some more street legal drag days but I am concernd about the wheel hop it's just a matter of time till something breaks, if I can't figure out how to stop it. Anyone have any suggestions. I also made 2 other runs but shut it down because of the hop.

Many of us feel your pain. I am kinda waiting for heavy mods till someone comes up with something that will keep if from hopping while stock. Not much point in all that power if you can't put it to the ground.

After a few quick calcualtions your 1/8 time and mph converts to a 12.29 to 12.45 @ 118.4

If you can knock your 60' time down to a 1.98 you can knock 2/10s off your 1/4 = 12.09 to 12.25

Nail a 1.88 60' and you will be looking at 11.89 to 12.05

The conversion factors are 1/8 et x either 1.52 or 1.54 (can't remember which) and mph time 1.25.
