Default What do you know about these "mods"?

I just read a post from Fichtner Chevrolet selling 4 rotors, drilled and slotted-called GM performance rotors($235.90) and a set of ceramic pads for front and rear($110.00); Does anybody know anything about these items???
I also read in another post that these will interchange with the base suspension and MR; iow, a non Z-51 car and no other mods to this set up is required including the rotor mounting bracket. Has anyone heard about this combination and how good is it over the stock rotors and pads?
Would greatly appreciate any good responses for these questions as I'm "still up in the air" about changing brakes over to this setup vs. the erataspeed (not +1) setup-which I know is more money but since I'm not tracking the car except maybe once in awhile on an empty street or just high speed cruising on the interstate once in awhile...

Note: Baer produces an OEM replacement rotor called Decela-Rotor that is 1 piece drilled an slotted and is much cheaper than the Eradispeeds.

For repeated track use the slotted rotors if they are bigger diameter will help but in most cases they are simply cosmetic. They are a bad idea for durability so a raod racer wouldnt want cross drilled. Pads are a great idea but they wear the rotors a lot.

The biggest variable you can address and the weak link in all braking systems in the tires you run. In all cases the limit of braking is found there and the anti-lock brakes jump in to keep you from sliding for that reason. As long as the tire is gripping better, you will stop better. If braking distance is all you're interested in then get the best tires you can afford and the distance will fall. Brake fade isnt as big a problem as you may think on this car unless you are looking for a 150-0 stopping distance in which the 1600 dollar Z06 brake upgrade will also be needed.
