I couldn't agree more. I bought a 2004 WRX STI and tried to mod it to be able to take on a vette. Once I did i realized that vette was bone stock and I barely walked it, and wondered why i put all that money into the wrx when I could have just bought a vette to begin with. Also for the record, a MN6 with a 100 shot will roast a viper. Just my .02 cents. Light those tires up prior and launch it good.

but really to beat that car on the streets you must be faster than a c6 z06

stock for stock (includes exhaust, air filter/intake, etc. - minor mods that don't require cracking the block) it won't take much at all the stay with/beat/enjoy a good run with the '03 viper.

even though the viper shows more power on paper what hurts it is the weight and the coefficient of drag. it takes more power to propel a heavier blockier car than a sleeker lighter car.
