This has been argued over and over and people will come in to this post and tell you to just do a search but I hate when people do that. I would say they are all pretty equal as far as gains go, so pick one that you are capable of installing yourself and that fits in your budget. If you can install any of them pick the one that looks the coolest to you! Its your car and they all are going to be better than stock!

I got a Halltech, and I'm really impressed with the seat of the pants improvement - I really didn't expect to notice anything. I haven't had it to a dyno yet, but I have a baseline on the car to compare it to when I get to it.

The Hurricane comes with it's own shroud so it requires no cutting.

I bought a K&N about 3 weeks ago and noticed an immediate improvement.

OK. Two questions. Does anyone have pics of the K&N air intake kit installed on a C6? and, Can you really tell the difference of a 10 hp power increase?

If you really believe, you can feel the improvement from a 0 hp change.

With all due respect..."SLP only works with the hood open" is a very silly statement. Configuration of all air filters be they SLP, K&N, Halltech or even the stock box that do not require cutting into the radiator shroud are the same. They sit in the same area and intake the same air.

What do you have on your C6?????

I selected the Halltech because I did not want to cut the shroud. Can't really address any difference in HP since I already had dynatech headers and corsa sports on the C6.

Default lean codes at idle

Don't be surprized if you set a lean code, left and right banks at idle with different airfilters. Some don't set them some do It just depends on the car.

Vararam. This is my personal opinion. They are on sale at Corvettes of Houston. people have been getting allot of codes with certain brands. Make sure you ask question to forum member and dont take advice from someone who does not have one.

Default The Halltech

I ordered the SLP and installed it, the bridge did not fit very well and I had to force every thing to make it fit. When I went out for a test drive the car had a low speed surge. I took everything back apart and reassembled it.it was no better I called SLP and they were not much help, sooo I worked out a deal with the vender I got it from and they exchanged it for the Halltech, the halltech went on with no problems and the car runs great, (just my experience)

Halltech is a simple and effective approach and easy to return to stock if necessary
