Just had a 4 wheel align done, nothing wrong just wanted to see
if it was off. 6000 miles 06 vert. ALL 4 TIRES WERE OFF
that means everybody else is probably in the same boat
Just wanted everyone to know

One of the first things I always do is buy a lifetime alignment. I believe that's why I haven't suffered the poor tire wear many Z51 owners have. Don't assume that because the car is new, that the alignment is good.
Had my car aligned at the Ruf Porsche dealer here. They have a 4 wheel laser alignment system. And yes, my car was off even though I paid to have the dealer check the alignment.
alignment is covered under warranty up to 7500 miles btw
That's true. When I got my car (10/29/04), they didn't have the right equipment to do it. It's also easier to make an appointment for an alignment and be in and out in an hour rather than leaving your car at the dealer for a day.
there is a huge "allowance" in the OEM alignment, so do you mean yours was off of the ideal, or actually out of the acceptable range? Unless you actually have something come loose in your suspension, alignments don't really move in these cars. If your alignment was waaayyy out of the "allowance" range, then you likely have a problem

Everplace I've been to offers it for around $150.00. I bought mine at an authorized Goodyear dealer that is open 7 days a week.
Are you sure that you bought this alignment for a Corvette? 150 for lifetime sounds right for normal cars, BUT I found that no place will warranty a Vette's alignment longer than 1 year.
And in addition to that, the alignment itself is 3 to 4 hours of labor, which is around 200+ dollars.
I don't mean this to sound like a stupid question. Do you have to report "symptoms" to the dealer, or can you just ask for a free alignment?
You can just tell them that it pulls to one side. You may have to "remind" them that alignment is covered for 7500 miles, but if everything is within their tolerance, I don't know if they will want to charge you or not.
They'll probably have a Tech drive it first. He'll report back that everything is fine. Then they'll say that it felt normal, and they're gonna charge you if you still want one.
Just had mine done at dealer last Tuesday. 1100 miles on my C6 06. Car pulled to the right. Steering left of center to drive straight. Right rear way off and left rear also out of acceptable range. OK now. Never had to touch my C5 had 45000 miles on it.

Were you showing any unusaul tire wear?
Were you paying for theis alignment?
The specs are so broad I would question all four wheels being out of alignment unless you have lowered the car.
After owning a C5 I purchased a Caster/Camber gauge. My C6 looks good!
The factory alignment specs are pretty broad, you can be out of alignment and still be within factory specs.
I had my car aligned at a privately owned competion alignment shop to the exact specs that I wanted for $99.95. Every setting was off on the original alignment, with most settings just barely out of the factory recommended tolerances.
Suggestion for the people lowering their cars; GET AN ALIGNMENT! Changing the height effects all the alignment settings. If your car was barely in tolerance to begin with you are probably way out after lowering.
This might be slightly off-topic, but I found a Tire Dealer here in Atlanta that will do a 4 wheel laser alignment for $120 .. anyone think this is good or bad ??
When I checked with my dealer, they don't have a laser alignment shop, or an "on the vehicle" balancer.
