Default Cam/stall questions

Does anyone know what the stock stall speed is on the 05 c6?

Is anyone running a cam with the stock stall? If so, what is the cam and how does it feel?

Finally, anyone here running a tr224/114 cam. I'm looking for numbers on it in a bolt on ls2.

Running 224/228 .580/114 with stock TC, pushes a little bit on the brakes at stop, but otherwise very good manners. Sounds better than I thought. I went with the mild cam in anticipation of a blower going on later (and I didn't want to get into the tranny just yet).

Picked up a little over 35 rwhp (have kooks headers w/hi flows, stinger intake, magnaflow cat back).

I thought without the cam people were getting 30rwhp with headers and intake and tune?

Give or take, that's about right. I can see where my post could be read with more than one meaning.

My intent was to say that JUST THE ADDITION OF THE CAM gave me over 35 rwhp. I put the other list there to explain that I have additional hp for the poster so he could understand my "pushing at the brakes" comment. I had previously picked up about 29 rwhp with headers/exhaust/cai, for a grand total of 64rwhp increase over stock. However, the brake push comes from bumping the idle to account for the cam.

Yea, got it, thanks for the info. Do you happen to know what the stock stall is on the 05 vettes?

I don't really know, but I've heard talk of 1800 or 2000.

I know a lot of people who run 2600 on the street, and some 3200 for the strip.

I would guess that if you changed your converter and not the cam, ET's would be about the same. A 3,000 stall converter will save you .4 -.5 tenths in the quarter.

The car idles at 600 stock. Even a mild cam is going to bump that up 150 to 250 RPM's.

Like BigRon said, it will push hard against the brakes, and flat take off on you if you don't brake it.

I changed mine to a Yank SS3200, and my idle is at 850RPM's with a 224/228 cam.
