Engine Light Code-u1000?

Engine Light Code-u1000?
Pulled check engine light code-U1000. Anyone no what this means. As far as I understand it means that one of the componets didn't check in during start up dio check. Should I bring to dealer or clear code and see if it comes up again.

1st question would be, have you installed any aftermarket device ?
If you don't have any way to test if each module is communicating on the class 2 bus, and everything works, reset it and see if it happens again. All the modules on the class 2 bus are suppose to report a SOH (state of health) every 2 seconds, so if there's a problem it should pop up again.
