Park Brake Malfunction
I didn't release the park brake entirely and it's worn down the pad. It wasn't "fully" on. But, the system provides more and more pad as it wears down until the entire thing is gone. Now I have no park brake at all. Was told that this cost a couple of hundred bucks to replace/repair. Sounds excessive.
Anybody know anything about this? Is this the norm for this?

it's a drum setup in the rear calipers, and that sounds about right to me. I've never heard of anyone wearing a set out.
You might find a set of the shoes on ebay, but unless you put them on yourself, it'll still cost you. You have to remove the rear rotors to access the shoes
