Default memory seat question

My seat reclines as it should when I shut the car off (Ebrake on) but never comes back to position when I turn the car back on. I always have to hit the button on the door. Isnt there a way to make this automatic?

Check to make sure that you have the #1 key. I had the same problem until I found out that I had the #2 remote key.

If you have the manual trans you have to hit the button. If auto, you can set it in the DIC options.

Sure would make a good mod if someone offered a widget that made this automatic. I've always hated pressing the "1" button every time I get in the car! If those fancy window controllers can do all they can do, seems like this would be a simple mod.

Don't know about you, but my legs are not long enough to push the clutch down to start the car with the seat all the way back in the exit position. ????

Which is why it would be good for the seat to go back to position 1 automatically when you get in and close the door.
