I will post later - doing some family stuff tonight.

I will have the exact same setup as you when it's done

G5X3, headers, halltech, ASP underdrive and FAST

other items include 160thermo, tgk plugs, borla stinger (rectangular/oval dual pipes), no cats.

I've got a dyno and some pictures of the firewall cutout.

Default fast 90

I have a 422 and am real curious if this intake is worth it for a big cube motor.....I have heard that by adding the intake you are sacrificing some low end torque. Looking forward to these dyno results...
but more importantly some track results...can anybody post some track results?????

Approx. how much labor time for the FAST intake? Also, installation cost?

Thanks!

Just wish FAST would make a new intake that doesn't require us to cut into the firewall. Will wait until they do.

Doesn't look to me like the FAST intake compromises low end torque. What would be interesting to see is the dyno results of a port matched stock intake.

Default HP increase

Before the FAST: 410rwhp/384rwtq, after 427rwhp/405rwtq. It was worth it for two reasons, First the the gain was nice and second next week my 215 ET heads go on and the FAST now becomes an even more important bolt on.

Thanks for the numbers. I just bought one of these. I appreciate the real life data to support my guess that it would make good torque.

FAST picked up 31 HP and 36.7 ft lbs on my Procharged 05 A4. This intake seems to make a big difference on highly modified cars. But it is a major PITA install.

firewall modification especially for WAVEBLASTER

Now, I had LG do this, so it may not be to your liking.

Hey Dave, I did the swap and as someone already said you need to use the LS1 injector o-rings. The Ls2 rail will still fit but you need to use oversized washers to hold it down unless you want to cut and bend the tabs to line up with the mounting holes for the fuel rail or buy a 2004 ls1rail to replace the stocker. I went ghetto and used the 4 washers.

Anyone still have a comment on the use of the FAST over the stocker and the gains it does or doesn't make? Looks like a winning mod to me for 3 hours work. Im sure there will still be a few non-believers that will swear it doesnt work any better and isnt worth the price of admission....

www.lingenfelter.com has the kits for the FAST install; less the injector issue. (see this thread, the one you are reading)

Looks good man, I just noticed this. I hope to get a fast soon, but probably not until tuning is available.

I had my intake ported and gained 15/rwhp and 15/rwtq for $240.00.

Hmm, nice gains! That's good to know. I've been a little skeptical of the gains posted by others. I know on the GTslOw they get really good gains but that engine seems to be underachieving for whatever reason. Possibly drivetrain losses.

The intake is a gating factor on the LS2 in regards to TQ/HP output. For a take-off and mod that's a good gain. But like all things, when you get close to the limit the small gains are more costly. Like I say to customers in IT if you want 99 uptime it's xxx.00 if you want 99.9 it's xxxx.00, if you want 99.999 it's xxxxxxxx.00 if you want 99.99999 it's xxxxxxxxxxx.00 dollars

Working with LG I get good value for my money; as the saying goes "LG Motorsports, Where money buys speed" (but not good driving kills, that's what the LG Driving clinic is for).
