If $$ were an object, and you were willing to sacrifice performance for cost, what tires woould you go for. I have a MN6 Z51 with about 9k miles and the rear tires are at least 3/4 shot. I drive the car hard but I dont do burnouts. $ 1600 for a set of tires does not fit me at the moment. Of course, I may have to change my driving habits...

decided to keep the 6 i see? excellent choice my friend!
you can get very cheap very fast if you're willing to ditch the runflat capability. get on tire rack and see what they've got. i could have sworn they had a set priced under $1k up there when i was shopping my michelins. there was another site i was on that had some great pricing. i will see if i can find it and post it.
haha. you must have seen my other posts... yea, i cant see parting with the car, especially given the $$ ive put into it that I wont get back due to 1st year depreciation. i think Im willing to ditch runflat, but I dont remember if the warranty covers towing. if not i guess I need to join AAA just in case.

seriously dood, us young bucks have the time to make a less than optimal financial decision (buying a C6) and recover from it. or even better, adjust to it and figure out a way to make everything else work around it, so that you can always have one.
another great place to check for tires is on the C6 Parts forum. you can get hardly used tires there for as little as a few hundred dollars.
I agree. It just sucks that i will not have a garage to store my most prized possession. hopefully, karma will prevail and nothing will happen to my baby

I think those might have been the Continental ContiSportContact 2. Believe Discount tire actually sells them in C6 sizes, so you might check to see if your local store can order and install them (assuming you opt for them...the Tire Rack comparison charts seem to indicate they are not bad tires for the Vette - Z rated, good wear factor, etc.). HTH.
