Are you going to mod the heads and big cam? if no ,go with the 3/4 not 7/8.

Jim,

The kooks 3" mid sections tapers down to the 2 1/2 inch for the cat backs so you are good there. I would stick with the 1 3/4 unless you have a wild cam or stroker. This is because you will loose alittle TQ and Power because of the bigger pipes, this is fine for the bigger engines as they can make up for it.

I have the Kooks 1 3/4 and they sound great and the trottle response is much better. I would also consider getting the High Flow Cats because it will not get you much horse power and with your CAT backs it will be really really loud, then again it will probley be loud with just the headers.

Have Fun !

I've been told by a number of shops if planning on futher mods (FAI, heads cam, NOS) down the line to go with the 1 7/8. IF you've got the mod bug witch sounds like you do one of these is most likly in your future.

is the only thing im considering now, ive decided to go 1 3/4 for now, and i dont think 1 7/8 is needed at this point, i dont know the direction my car will be going, and i think these will be sufficent for now.

as for not cats..
i dont mind loud, i like loud, so drone away!
