Check Engine Light
Ok so I have been pulling the fuel pump fuse during storage for years on my C5. I did the same procedure on the C6, worked fine until I decided to really crank the engine over for about 45 seconds. I left go of the starter button but it just kept turning the engine, the check engine light came on and I had to push the off button to stop it. Now every time I follow the previous procedure I limit the time but the engine continues to crank until I push the off button and the check engine again comes on. Any thoughts? Thanx Rad

Under normal conditions when you push the start button you don't need to hold it in untill the engine starts. One push and let go is all that is required and it cranks until the engine starts. You have confused it and it is trying to start. I 'm sure the code is no fuel pressure. I am sure when you replace the fuse it will start normal. The code may reset on it on but I am not sure about that.
