I was at the track day also in my 06 non-Z51, LG Pro headers, honker, and B&B route 66. Stock tires.
I was running consistent 12.1s @ 118mph. After Jim discovered that it pays to beat the snot out of the clutch, I pulled a 12.036@118.5 with a 1.81 60' slipping it out of the hole. I just couldn't get the launch any lower over the next couple runs, and the computer was screaming at me that I had about zero fuel left, so I packed it in. The car definitely has an 11 in it if I beat on the clutch some more.
Assuming this is a MN6. Now we are beginning to learn the potential of the C6. This is what we have been waiting for. It was just a matter of time. Somebody broke the barrier finally. Great job!

thank you, im proud of the time for sure. I wasn't sure how many C6's ran into the 11 second barrier with just basic bolt on action ( i, e, h)
now i need a tune and cam and time to run deeper into the 11's.
I have noticed occasionally, powershifting into some gears, the car seems to "bog" a bit. But I was getting my best times not power shifting anyway - I would lift just a little and get right back into it.
I feel like the times I was running were an accurate reflection of the traction and power the car had - nothing "weird" that I could tell. I think I was getting everything the car had, as long as I stuck the launch.

Thanks guys. This Torque Management thing is really confusing.
Got you two guys who obviously know what you are doing, and Serendipity is doubtful at best, about the existence of TM in the manuals and Jimspeed flat out says it does not exist.
And then in another thread, we have CYA-vett and Ranger who are also very knowledgable, and believe that TM in the manuals is very real.
Interestingly, you guy's cars are both modified very similar to CYA Vetts car is. The three of you have headers. You list 11.94 and 12.036 both at around 118mph, as your quickest times respectively.
CYA Vett mentioned that his car has not been tuned yet following his header install. Have your cars been tuned following the header install? If so what was done?

I have an HPTuners cable that we've used to turn off codes (both running catless headers), but no actual tuning yet.
I'm hoping to get some dyno time soon to check things out and dial the tune in.
Thanks. It is downright amazing to see the numbers you guys put up with just headers, breather and catback. NO TUNE. ...............and on stree tires. Thats unbelievable
The other interesting thing is that one of you guys is running KOOKS and the other LGs and your times are very similar.
I know that the people at KOOKS and LGs didn't intend for this inadvertent "header shootout" to occur but indeed it did. The headers perform similar. Very similar on a basically stock C6.

yea..
but kooks cost a lot less. Lower price with same performance? Why not
this should be something new for the LG nut swingers... money does not ALWAYS buy speed....rofl
