Is this an issue??????

I had filled my oil level to just above the max circle on the dipstick....My oil level was low and I added a quart and now it's just above the max line and wanted to know if that is a problem or is it ok....Thanks,

Take it in to the dealership. I have had no problems with my car consuming oil and having to add any. I would take it in to the dealership and ask them about the issue.

Was he questioning the oil consumption part or just concerned about having overfilled it or not?
I'm assuming it was just low from the factory or from a recent oil change and that being just a tad over the 'full line' is ok...don't go any further past that though.

The owners manual tells you to overfill by one quart for racing. I usually keep mine 1/2 quart high when racing??? Don't think a little extra will hurt.

It's not a problem. When I change mine and put six quarts in my Z51 it is about 1/2" above the top hole.
