Default ??? about TPMS and custom rims

Can you remove the TPMS from factory rims and put them on custom rims? I am looking at buying either some foose or Niche rims and wanted to be sure I could re-use the factory TPSM. This is for a 2005 C6. Thx

If your new rims will accept the sensors then yes you can swap them over. It will depend on the new rims and I don't have any idea how to tell you if they will fit or not.

Hope this helps a little bit.

Thanks, I'll just call the manufacturer before I purchase.

There is a specific indent in the rim for the sensor, manufacturer will specify if monitor will fit.

Also good news, I found out that if you rotate from side to side with our asymetrical designed tires, that the sensors reprogram themselves to the side that they are on. I have done this 3 times now due to a lot of track use and found that it works everytime, but may take a day or two.
