Default Priority Start question

I have ordered the Priority start to take care of DBS but I have some questions.
Which side of the battery does it go on. If it goes on the engine side of the battery do the poitive cables overlap the negative cable.
Does the rubber band really work? Is there another way to mount the priority start?
Help please with pics if possible

Get a large zip tie.

I have a 2005 and have been using the rubber band, PS attached on the engine side. So far, so good. I understand on the '06 the battery terminals are reversed (?), don't how that will impact install. Unit is very light so rubber band should work for a long time.

Mine is mounted on the engine side and is held down by the rubber band plus a long zip tie. This works well and it is firmly attached.

I may be too cautious, but I am not very comfortable with the positive battery cable and positive terminal on the Priority Start being so close to the negative terminal of the battery. The terminals are covered with a rubber cover but the positive and negative are right next to each other. In a bad crash I could envision a short circuit that could ignite something in the engine compartment. I might be going overboard on this but it made me wonder about what would happen if.....

I have the same concern about cables. It seems that the positive cable is going to have to go over the negative cable and the priority start Positive and the battery negative will be very close.
I will definitely get some Zip ties. The engine heat on the rubber band will cause it to fail at some point I would think.
