Car has 1300 miles on it. Followed the book on the brake in period for the first 500 miles. Car has not been at the track or above 4500 rpms. Just changed the oil in the engine at 1100 miles. Last night while pulling away from a stop light in second gear it felt as through the trans. slipped for a second, this happened about five times. The trans temp. was at 130 degrees all other gears shifted OK. Today trans seems to be fine. Has anyone one else had this happen? Thanks
There have been a few posts about defective A6 transmissions that had something wrong with second gear. Someone claims there is a GM bulletin about it but no one ever finds it and gives a link or a copy. Good luck, I've got an A6 too.

I have been to the race track 4 times and I have made about 12 1/4 mile passes with my A6 and on one run it did feel like it slipped and took its time shifting to third under full throttle and it showed in the time slip about a .12 second slower ET. I only felt it one time and I hope its nothing serious. I have never felt it again and it hasnt happened on the street.
I just read in Corvette Quarterly how good the A-6 is compared to the M-6. Is the A-6 as good as the article claims? Or do you think you would have been better off with the tried and true, proven A-4.
I just got my A6. I love it. I do notice when I paddle shift it down to first it seems to go into first rather hard. Is this normal?
I think most likely it it is normal.
Low is so low that at any speed at all and you shift to low it is going in with a bang. Any car with an automatic will do this.
Also I tried to see if mine slipped starting from second in paddle shift and believe its only the torque converter lag I'm feeling.

Time will tell, aside from that one glitch I experienced, I am very happy with the A6.
