Both are for heated oxygen sensors.

P0056; The ECM detects that the affected 02 sensor heater low control circuit is not within a specified range for 25 seconds.

P0161; The ECM detects that the affected 02 sensor heater current parameter is more 1.375 amps or less than 0.25 amps.
The above condition is met for 10 seconds.

The shop manual has 3 to 4 pages on each condition.

Thanks for the info,,, I'm gonna clear the code and see if it comes back. If so, i assume I have a bad o2 sensor?

If you have headers or a CAI you can get any number of O2 sensor codes. When I first installed the headers and CAI on my car I got CEL's on every tank of gas, I cleared them each time and now only get an occasional CEL. I think the ECM in the car "learns" as it goes. My last CEL was in early January @ 7,000 miles, now @ 8,500 miles and no CEL since.

Not necessarily. "Bank 2 Sensor 2" refers to the passenger side rear sensor. Anything forward of that is a suspect. OTOH, it could have just been a momentary thing that is nothing to worry about (e.g., driving through a puddle that splashed cold water on the sensor or cat).

Clear the codes and see if they come back.
