18'' wheels for C6
By contrast, the C5 Z06 wheels in 18x10.5 will be 1/2 further out and would clearly strike the fender if there was enough compression.
So, I did some checking around and I did call CCW and tried for some classic's. What I found out was very interesting and mind boogllleeing.
First, 18x11 and 18x10 will fit on the car just fine. As John said it's about getting the "backspacing" correct.

Beyond that it also depends on what tire you put on the car
! Now in my case I'm wanting to go to road-racing events so I'm not interested in all the shiny/fancy parts for the wheel. So, I talked with him for a while and I like the classics, but also like the unpub'd corsair pics as well. If change out the fenders on the rear I can go with a 18x12 on the rear wheel which would give me a lot of fun tire options!!
Again, thanks for the responses to my original question and the ensuing dialog!
Cheers
JK
I would really like to see a pic of this on your car.
If you want to know where it will end up on the fender just measure 21 mm out from the sidewall, that is approximately where your tire will stick out if you have the same size tire.
21 mm is about 3/4 inch.
