i am having trouble deciding on intakes. i was wondering what everyone is running on their c6. i like vararam's snake charmer, and the halltech with cold air, and vortex. anyway i was curious to know if anyone is running these systems. if so please lmk about any water injesting issues and if your happy with the system also what are the pros and cons open air vs a box system thanks!
I have a vararam with a spacer and LG. i just posted on your other thread. You should got with it. If you act now there is a GP on vararam with spacer for 380 shipped. Unbeleivable deal. I paid 450 for all that. Jump fast hurry.
I have the Lingenfelter Cold Air induction and I am happy with it. I have not seen a single case reported of water ingestion with any of the C6 intakes. I would guess either the VaraRam or the LPE will net you the most Rwhp power.
I switched from the Halltech to the LPE and gained power. recently members switching to the VaraRam are reporting the same results.

The Ram Air intake systems advertise the best performance increases, but this is based on cooler air intake, higher vehicle speeds, and higher rpms where these system do make more HP. SLP, K&N, and some others make a plain air intake with improved air flow that will gain you around 10 hp. The systems configuration on these plain air intakes pull air from the same area as the stock system did so water ingestion is not a concern.
Simply cannot beat the build quality and the performance results are right up there with the Lingenfelter.
Very well built and the install while tedious, leaves a top notch result due to the use of rivets, use of the original rubber grommets on the top mount radiator shroud, the twist *****, and steel bobbin locking attachments to secure the lid to the radiator shroud.
I have installed it and am very happy with it. Its not just a filter sitting inside an air box, but the filter is installed into the radiator shroud via a frame and the airlid duct fits over that..

Ok, two questions.
#1 - What are those two "humps" for on the shroud?
#2 Why were those two threads closed, I didn't see or read anything obscene, what did I miss?
yes i agree callaway all the way , its takes a bit more to install but the construction and materials are top notch. I have installed quite a few and seen nice gains. We keep these in stock call for the latest prices.
