hey guys I'm wondering if anybody in calif. knows about prepaying smog check for your registration?!
somebody told me you can pay 4-5 years in a advanced so you dont have to get a smog check.(plannning on getting headers)

There is a whole other thread about this in the General discussion area. I just bought a used 05 Vette. I took the paperwork to CA DMV where I live and they said it does not need a smog even for transfer untill 2011, the third time it would normally be due on an older car. This goes for any new or used car in CA that has never been registered out of state. They used to charge you an extra $40 for both of the first two missed smog checks but Iam not sure if they still do.
