I know this is going to sound strange, but I'd like to adjust my ride height higher than it is now. I just bought a new house and the entrance to the driveway is raised up from the street to form a shallow gutter. I can't back out without scraping the front spoiler. I've read about people using the adjusting bolts on the suspension to lower it. Is there any travel left from stock setting to raise it up? Any hints on how to do it? Thanks. (I'm ready for the flames about raising instead of lowering it)
Look in the FAQ for details on how to lower it. Raising is exactly the same except you turn the adjustment bolt the other direction, which increases the distance between the spring and the lower control arm. It's real easy. Basically you use a jack on the spring so that the car's weight is resting on the jack instead on the suspension, then you can just turn the bolt by hand to the desired level, then repeat on the other 3 corners.

I just knew someone would say "sell the house." That's why I said I was ready to be flamed. But thanks for the help. Now that I've moved to a state that requires a front license plate, I have that problem of where and how to mount it. Many good ideas on this forum - I just have to pick one.

Is it possible to build a device/structure to alleviate the "shallow gutter" problem? Or would the city officials just throw it away?
The manual says that rubbing the front spoiler is OK. I back out at an angle and my driveway isn't very steep and I still drag the outsides of the spoiler. It doesn't hurt anything.
