I had my 06 tuned with LS2Edit. So far I haven't had problems, but I am getting it retuned when EFILive releases the V2 in May/June.

obviously you have to have the 06' version, not the 05' version. LS2edit locks the PCM so the dealer can't flash any GM upgrades (a good thing, imho), but your tuner can unlock it if you decided to hide the tuning from your dealer

I was talking to the dealer who sold me my 06 and he said they were having a dificult time getting an 06' VERSION OF THE PROGRAM. SINCE THE 07'S WILL BE OUT SOON AND THE DEALER WAS HAVING THIS PROBLEM, I was wondering if people were getting ripped off ? I want to get the tune and the dealer does performance tuning and he said that I would be wasting my money if I got the wrong edit. He said to wait for the right edit program. I am sure he would love to take my money and tune my car, and seemed to be honest when saying to wait for the tune, so I am wondering why some people say that they can tune my 06 when the dealer said to wait. BTW, the word OBVIOUSLY in the reply tends to be condescending and implies a "know it all" attitude which is discouraging and since we are all here to learn, perhaps you could be a little more patient with us folks who ask questions to learn

I say get it tuned and see what happens. Go to a shop that does allot of performance work. They should be the most knowledgable. Contact Chuck and he should be able to help. Maybe he will come in with some wonderful words of advice.

I would not get my car tuned by a GM dealer. I have had nothing but good experience with LS1edit/LS2edit, and I highly doubt anyone has be tricked into buying the wrong version of the program
