for what? I imagine it uses normal engine vacuum for A/C valve operation, like the C5, and the secondary oil pump likely creates a little engine crankcase vacuum, but not being a true multi-stage drysump system, I doubt it creates much vacuum.

Will the vacuum assisted ring seal create more usable power in the midrange rpm? What is the parasitic loss associated with its use? Any dyno numbers to verify the gain?

Stroker motors and high rpm motors benefit the most.
On a drag race car, where you can high vacuum for short periods of time, you will see huge HP gains. On a street car or road race car you will see varying HP gains (depending on existing ring seal) and certainly good for engine life.

But, these pumps are not a low cost mod (pump, brackets,oil tank,etc ~ $1300) so definitely not the best bang for the buck.
However, if you have oil consumption issues or need to get the most out of a high reving engine - they are worth every penny.

This pic looks familiar. So far my engine has gotten alittle cleaner, before it would smoke slightly out of the oil fill cap but after 300 miles with the vacuum pump that is gone. My total airflow numbers have gone up across the board which is on par with what they should be doing.
