Default Help, information overload!

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some help here. I live in vegas and we have no tuner/shops here for vettes, the best I have is a guy at the dealership I bought my car. He has good references but cannot tune vehicles, just installation.

My question is this, what is the most cost effective/reliable way to get to 500 rwhp and 500tq (roughly 15hp above/below is ok) I'm torn between the cam route or the supercharger route but it appears the supercharger would be quite a bit more expensive. I really want to get long tube headers for the sound if nothing else but I really need someone to give basicly a "shopping list" of proven parts so I can avoid errors on my part.

This car is a true daily driver so being reliable is important but I'm not to worried about gas mileage.

Also, I have no access to a tuner so it must be viable for me to drive on this package without a tune till I can make it to california to goto A&A or LAPD (would just call them and have them do it but no time to go there and have them install it, just barely enough time to run down, get a tune and run back)

Any and all help/suggestions would be very appriciated

having added FI to a car before (350z), I think you would be much happier, reliability wise, going with bolt ons, although you might only be in the 450is range ( I think) I know jster had cams, headers, exhaust adn a couple other things done by LouG and wound up with the exact same dyno as a Z06. Once you go FI, you are asking for problems. They may be small ones, but they creep up.

Buy a big block or high quality 383.

I am going with procharger and kooks, along with my Corsa. That is it. Mine will be a daily driver so to speak, I will got with the lowest boost and I am hoping for at least 100k miles before any major problems. Course if I make it to 50k, I am sure the pleasure I will experience up to that will be all fun. I will keep everybody updated, plus track times compared to stock. Sorry I can't help, but I will be able to in the future.

To be honest if I lived where you did I would have A&A do the works when time allowed. Its worth the extra hassle to get your car to a top notch shop that will do the job right.

The car is too valuable, your time is too valuable! Do it, but have it done right the first time by a reputable shop. There's nothing more frustrating than dealing with constant little car hassles.
