Default Yank Convertors

Does anyone have experience with this Co. They are claiming .3-.6 1/4 mile gains and some mph gains. They also offer a "stealth" package torque Convertor that the dealer cannot detect. What are the pros/ cons of going with a non OEM torque convertor? www.converter.cc/index.html

Yank builds an excellent T/C. I ran their ST3500, it gave great driveability and performance. Don't waste your time with their stealth converters. The Stealth is nothing but a modified heavy stock T/C. Get at least the SS3200.

i have the ss3200 in my 2005 c6 and my best is 12.13 at 112. if i put a good tune into the car it would be in the high 11's. you can barley feel the added stall and it pulls like a mother off the line. i would recommend yank to anyone, great product.

The only reason i was thinking of going stealth would be for the warranty issue. I guess I will bite the $200 core charge and keep the OEM converter; Just in case i have tranny problems and have to swap the factory converter back in to have the warranty honored. What gains can i expect to see in a 2005 Z51 auto with just Corsa's?

You guys kill me with this warranty stuff.

If you have tranny issues and they open it up and discover anything inside it that ain't factory you are liable to have a warranty issue.

Also, think about it. You have tranny problems with the new aftermarket converter in. Say your 3-4 clutch pak goes 6-12 months later, and in order to avoid a warranty issue, you drop the suspension cradle and the driveline, remove the transmission, and re install the stock converter , button everything back up, and then take it to the dealer?

If you can't do that yourself, then how much do you think the labor to do such a thing is going to run you?

After they, or you, do it, do you think that their techs will be able to tell if the car has been recently worked on? They'll be able to tell soon after getting it on the lift that someone recently dropped the driveline and put it back up.

If you are going to modify the driveline components of your car why worry about the factory warranty?

You do what the rest of us do. Find a friendly dealer. They don't care what you've done to it. Put in your torque converter and don't worry about it.
