Need some help please...
I have an '06 mn6 and have the following mods: FAST intake, LPE bottom feeder, moderately aggressive cam, kooks headers, and hp tune. The car has developed a strange habit that we cannot figure out. The car idles great. You can tell that it has a cam but there is no lope to speak of. Everything is great while cruising but, when the car reaches a certain temp, around 200 degrees, the rpms shoot to about 2200 and hold there when I have to stop whether at a light or whatever. It just hangs there and if I tap the gas it will SLOWLY come back down to 1100. When I am driving and push the clutch in to downshift, it surges badly from 700 to 1200 rpm's. As soon as I put it in gear, it comes back down nicely and does fine until I stop again. As long as the car is cold, it does great. Any help will be appreciated. My tuner has done everything he knows to do but is left scratching his head. Could there be a leak somewhere? Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
