Default Window Valet

I did a search and found alot of C5's that had this option.

I wanted to know peoples opinions on the Window Valet on the C6, vert or on a targa. I miss my auto roll down windows that my 350z had (the ONLY option that the C6 seems to not come with stock).

What was REALLY intersting to me was it measured the *RPM and max speed* of the car.

But i saw alot of post of this not working correctly and leaving the car unlocked etc...But for every one bad experince with the item there might be 10 good ones.

I feel 135 is a VERY good deal for what it seems to do, i just wish it was something that could of come from the factory. I own a 05 Z-51 coupe and this is an item i am looking for reviews on.

Thank you for your time

Anthony

I also wonder why this feature hasnt been added yet.
Also, auto-start - at least on the automatics.

Default 3LT Maybe?

My '06 C6 Coupe with 3LT option does have auto-down windows. As long as the engine is running or it's in accessory mode with engine off the auto-down works for both the driver and passenger windows from the driver's side. I haven't tried the passenger window to see if auto-down works from the passenger door but for sure mine does from the driver's side. I may be all wrong, but I wonder if it's a 3LT thing? Since I don't know if you have 1LT or 2LT or 3LT I don't really know. Is your's 3LT?

I think you're talking about holding the button inside the car down.
We're talking about having the option on the remote fob.
right??

I had one for the C5. I just recently got one for my C6 coupe. I really like it. Just being able to roll the windows down remotely when you're walking to the car on a hot day is worth it. I haven't had any problems with mine. I have retrieved top speed and rpm with no problem. I have mine set to chirp the horn if someone pulls on the door handle. I also have it set to unlock the doors when the emergency brake is pulled when you drop off a passenger. It also has the vent feature which cracks the windows a bit for a hot day when you're parked. I'm "testing" this feature to see if the hatch closing is helped by it. Overall, I am pleased with it.

I like the Window Valet for my Coupe. I am always putting the top back on with the windows down, so the fob control is neat. I most like the funtion that is added that will allow the passenger door to be opened when the parking brake is engaged. This is a neat addition. All I have to do to let a passenger out is stop and pull up the handbrake.

The passive alarm is good too. usually it is just a reminder that I forgot to hand the key fob to my daughter or someone who is getting something from my car.

I had one on my C5 and I have one on my C6. Great product and I have never had a problem with it. It allows me to roll down the windows from my office on a hot day to let out all the heat build-up that we get here in Mississippi in the summer. I also like the door unlock feature when the parking brake is set. This lets you drop off someone without having to unlock the doors.

Yes,

FAA-ATC This is an item that does the following
1. Lets the window down by hitting a combo on your fob before you reach your car
2. Lets you crack your windows with out being inside your car
3. When someone touches your door pad it beeps at you when there is no fob detected
4. If displays the Fastest MPH and highest RPM of the last trip (resetable) good for Valets to see if they did a joy ride or doged out your car.

And it is easy as just plugging in for 135.00

My consern was after a search on the forum was that there was alot of probs with doors staying unlocked or other minor inconviences.

Thank you for your replies, i am going to end up giving it a try as this is exactly what i was looking for. Might even be good to show what the dealer did *testing* your car after doing maintanence.

I thank you for the replies
