Default Ordered new cam today

Have a C6 DSOM Z51. i already have the headers on the car and dynoed 379 last week with Kooks 1 7/8 and vararam. I have been talking with Geoff a lot over at Thunder Racing and been real interested in going with the cheatr cam. After speaking with him we have decided to order a bigger version of the cheatr. Here are the specs. 215/230 .629/.604 117lsa. Little more intake and exhaust lift. Still has -11.5 degrees of overlap so it shouldn't be audible. I am also going to port my intake real soon and install at the same time as cam. I also picked up a new cat-back today. Borla stinger. I think its going to sound great.

How can you wait that long? I'd be installing it the weekend after I got it! A 224 cam really woke up the LS1 in my 01 Z28.

Usually I am not good with waiting, but I am trying to be a little patient. 2200 miles and I have headers, vararam, Borla, Chromed wheels.. SO I don't think I am being too patient really.

Just put on a cat back. How do you like the headers? did they make a big difference? I can't stop thinking about what mod to do next. I have the Mod disease !
Also, I assume by adding a cam it will void the warranty correct?

On the 117 LSA the DCR will be at around 8.2 or so. (The intake valve is closing at 69.5 degrees-.006) That is low due to your compression being only 10.9. If you increase the static CR you will regain the TQ gong to 11.4:1 to get to 8.7 DCR to be optimum on 93 pump gas. Can you get that cam on a 114 lsa instead? That would have a lot more power under the curve and a 20rwtq boost.

I would consider a 114, but I do not want any lope coming from this cam. Trying to be sneaky. As long as it picks up good power throughout the band I am ok with that.
