Ok, I need some help with this from you tech guys.
My best friend of 30 years has had this 1995 Toyota Supra twin turbo with air intake, downpipe and exhaust. The stock HP is about 320 and I am sure the mods are about 30?
I finally have a car to kick his but... o5 mn6 z51.
What do you think my chances are? will this be even close?
No comparison in cars... the vette is by far the better all the way around.. but I want to make sure it will spank him before I commit.
Your thoughts?
Twin turbo supras are usually really fast it might be close. Id find out a little more about his setup some can have up to 1000 hp in their setups. Not his, but they can be really fast.

Go to a local road course and it will not matter how much HP he has. The Supra can be modded like others have said to 1000 hp but, they are really heavy and don't turn or stop nearly as well as the C6.

The Supra weighs 250-300lbs more. Although the Supra is underrated in HP. It dynos around 300RWHP stock which means it really has 350 or so HP at the crank. So if he as 380HP with the mods you still should win, IMO.
Sounds like what they call a BPU (Basic Performance Upgrades) or BPU+ car, it's got 12s potential but a properly driven C6 will still take it as long as he's still full weight and on street tires.
Actually, "GReddy" on the statements might be more of a concern.
But let me reassure you, as a long-ago MKIV owner and former rice-head (see sig below), that you will have no problem clobbering him if this is the true extent of the stated mods. Even if he is lying and has the Profec hidden in the glovebox or console and turns it up to 18 psi, that puts him at about 425 BHP, not enough in a 3,500lb car to beat you. Assuming you can shift halfway decently, you'll get him out of the hole with torque and better gearing, and keep pulling him in each gear through 4th.
And sorry but, these cars were NOT underrated. Mine and 4 other stock ones at a Supra dyno day put down around 270-280 RWHP bone stock.
Now, if he has a T66 or T72 hiding under the hood, that' may result in a different outcome.
Also, there is a fallacy that the Supra cannot handle like a Vette. This is just not true. Out of the box, this car can really move in the twisties. They pulled .98G stock, so that's right there with the Z51. Sure, the Vette is more nimble, but not by that much.
I was a tech at Toyota from about 93-96 and had alot of seat time in these, changed out alot of ZF trannies too! You wouldn't believe how I got to test drive these when they were brand new right off the truck Anyway, I had a few buds that ran these with us at the track bone stock was mid 13's. It only took a couple light mods and a little more boost and they were running mid 12's. The problem with mods after that was they got doggy out of the hole but would put down huge MPH in the qtr and big numbers on the Dyno. I remember racing one at the track in my 89 Turbo TA that was running 12.20 @ 113, beating this guy pretty easily and could not believe his timeslip was like 122mph or something crazy like that. Like one of the other guys mentioned from a roll would probably be alot closer but if you can hook your car out of the hole you would probably get him, that is unless he's hiding something from you Let us know what happens...

The supra's weight is closer to 3600 pounds So we are talking over 400 pounds
I've owned several Supras in the past and they are real pigs in turns. They are way too heavy and don't have the torque a Vette does, so unless he cranks up the boost ridiculously (and risks blowing the whole thing up), chances are you'll kick his ****.
Be very careful, I watched a Supra with my own eyes at a Viper dyno day. It blew the TT vipers away. The viper with the most power put down 1050rwhp, then this pewter Supra came in last and put down 1100rwhp!!!!! These cars have amazing potential.
About 8 weeks ago I was instructing with the Supra group at MSR Houston (Bonney). One of my students had a 618 HP supra with the boost turned down to only 16 PSI (as low as it would go). This car was stupidly fast. MSR being a road course, I had to teach him to drive away from the turbo for best straightaway performance.
I Thought the large single gave them hella slow spool up time and most supras I have ran against pull great above 70mph...down low there isnt much there.
I agree - they are dogs outta the hole, so easy win for c6 from a dead stop. however, on the highway in a straight line... that would be a tough win for c6.
