Installed Stingers with x-pipe the other day on my mn6. Love the way they sound through the whole rpm range no resonance and I have a coupe. It's the burble on down shifts I don't care for. Is is possible to eliminate this sound and keep the exhaust ? Would a tune help? No other mods. Thanks
There isn't much more you can do since you already have the X-pipe.
My B&B PRT's burrbled big time (even with an X-pipe) and all I could do to avoid that was to clutch the car at the point the burrbling got in the way of conversation etc. Else wise I just learned to live with it and enjoy it.
I have the same burble on mine but I actually love the sound. It reminds me of the Harley I used to have that made almost the same sound with drag pipes. You have some really nice pipes on the car, so enjoy the sound.
I'm looking at installing stingers with the xpipe on my 2005 automatic C6 coupe. Some say there's drone with this system and some say not. I really don't want any drone....burbling I don't mind a little. A couple of weeks ago I installed the B&B route 66 exhaust w/o the xpipe...It sounds good...Better than stock. Now I want to go louder. Anyone have any advice or experienced same issue???? This exhaust thing drives me crazy. Sounds clips only help very little. And it's not easy around here (Central NY area) to find many C6's with different exhausts.
Noise? I've got ProCharger, KOOKS, X-pipe & no cats with Corsa Sport. Now if I would happen to fire this puppy up late at night, there would be lights flippin' on all through the neighborhood. On deceleration there is major burble and pop, but that is the price I pay for sounding fast and I like it. Even with Corsa Sport I have a drone range of 1500-1700 rpm. I just avoid that area of the tach.

I leave my car in second and don't use the clutch when slowing and going around corners all the way through my neighborhood just to hear the burble! (I've got magnaflows)

I have to agree, I wanted the burble and is why I changed the exhaust.
I love it when you're coming to a stop and the engine rpm is just dropping below 1000 rpm and you get that 5 sec deceleration burble. Puts an even wider smile on my face every time.
