Default Windshield Pit mark from Stone

Anybody have any idea on how to fix a windshield pit caused by a stone. There is no star just a small pit the size of a ballpoint pen point. The dealer says get used to it but it is ln my line of sight and annoys me.

You can use one of those windshield repair kits. They actually do work. I have used them many times. It depends on how big the pit is though. The kits are pretty easy to use as well. Basically what it does is create a vaccuum over the pit using a suction cup and then some kind of sealant/epoxy is pulled in and seals it. You then take a razor blade/knife and smooth it off. Works like a charm. As stated earlier, I have used this many times especially when on a trip.

Most dealers have a "windshield repair" person who comes to their lot about once a week to work on trade-ins. I had a star with two legs and three pits filled for $48. Can't tell there was ever any damage. Ask the used car manager at a reputable dealer if they'll recommend a repair person or if they'll let you bring your car to their lot on the day the repair person is there. Good luck.

Default Thanks for the help

Went down to the car store Loctite has repair kit for $14 it has a suction cup that attaches to the windshield and a syringe to inject the epoxy .I have to wait for a good day as the epoxy cures by the sunlight.I will post a update as to the quality of the repair.
