Default Traction Control - Competitive Driving ?

According to the owner's manual:

press button once - traction disabled, active handling still on (DIC says Traction control off")

press button twice w/in 5 secs, Competitive Mode on (which is no traction control but still have active handling)

To turn off Active Handling:
hold button down once for 5 secs straight - no traction control OR active handling (DIC still says "traction control off")

There is no difference between "Competitive Driving Mode" AND "No traction control" (just pressing button once)

What am I missing?

Competitive Mode changes the algorithms the active handling uses by increasing the thresholds where it starts to make corrections. In other words, it allows the car to get more sideways before taking steps to get it back on track.

There is a difference.

I think I put it into easy terms in a previous post, here is a link. I think this is the simplest and most direct way to explain the operation of your AH/TC modes.

The "hold for 5 seconds" sometimes means hold for XXX seconds. Hold the button down until the message in the DIC states "Traction Control and Active Handling Off".

You can also get the "both off" function by pressing and holding till the message in the DIC changes as the first and only step.
