Powder Coating
Looks really great on almost anything. You can buy a kit for under $300 except for the Oven.
What are the dangers associated with baking the thing in the kitchen?

Do not use your kitchen oven for powdercoating. The fumes will smell up the house and make your dinner taste funny, along with pi**ing off the wife. Just go buy a used oven and be done with it.

Powder leaves VOC's behind in the oven that only activate when heated, so you will contaminate your food.
That being said, you can buy a toaster oven for small parts, or a used kitchen oven.

a larger toaster oven worked great for me. It gave me good temp controll and a timer. I game my wife the choice. I was going to buy myself a new one or I could have the old one and buy herer a new one.

Why don't you ask your wife if she would like a nice new oven! Then you can do all your powder coating at one time, she will get a new oven and you will score some major points Hey it beats loosing half your stuff and possibly some body parts
