Magnaflow Installation (14336)
Mufflers have a nice deep muscle car sound on acceleration with just a small amount of drone at 1400-1800 rpm in higher gears. Idle sounds just a little deeper than stock. Mounted the stock tips about 3/4 inch farther out than they were on the stock mufflers.
Glad I didn't just drop the car off, though. I watched the installer's assistant get in the car to move it on to the lift almost have a panic attack looking for someplace to insert the key! He got a kick out of the keyless pushbutton start.

Very professional service. In and out in less then 2 hours. Labor was a little step, but the work was good. I know for sure they didn't have to drop the H pipe and all the stuff prior post was talking about. THey measure every thing out, made sure the tail pipes were perfectly aligned and level. Also purchased Mag. Tail pipes.
Sound is awesome. I have a vert, had a coupe before and had the same mufflers on it. In the Coupe the drone was a little loud around 18 but I hardly notice any drone in the vert.
Nice muscle sound on start up, not too loud, but you know it's a vette. WOT the sound kicks as$. Was at 40mph, then WOT, AWESOME,
was at 80 in a blink of an eye, and sound was music.
Hardly notice any sound 65 and over when cruising
On my 2003 I paid well over 1K for the Corsa Pace, only to start up the car and wonder "where did my money go" "where's the sound"
Much better bang for my dollar with the 14336's
Overall I'm very happy with how everything turned out.
Next week, getting calibers painted, and soon a Snake Charmer.
I just stopped by the local Meineke dealer and asked them if they could do what I wanted: Swap out the stock mufflers for the Magnaflows and re-use the stock exhaust tips. The only reason I stopped there was because the original shop I scheduled to do the work had their muffler guy quit the day before we were going to do the work. Once they got it up on the lift and got a good look at the stock configuration, figured out what had to be moved, removed, or unbolted it was, " Katie, light the torch!".
The shop that installed my Magnaflow mufflers "claimed" it took them 4 hours of labor and charged me accordingly at $80/hr. rate.
I'm sure this was excessive but estimate it could have been closer to 3 hours.
I have loved the mufflers' sound since the install over a year ago.
[As fate would have it, this shop has since gone out of business, due to this practice of charging excessive labor for most cars.
]**PapaT- I just noted you were in NC- I went to the local shop in Charlotte, M*re Perf*rmance, who is no longer in biz.
