Changing out the ride height adjusters today. Car is in the air and working on the front first.
How do you get the lower arm seperated from the ball joint so the arm will drop far enough to remove the old adjuster?
I have the sway disconnected, bottom of shock bolts out, lower arm nut off, however bolt is still routed thru the arm. It looks like the arm should drop right down but something is holding it up? I have a jack under the leaf spring to give some relief and don't want to pry up on the leaf spring.
I just started working on my car as will.
I can see what are you talking about, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
I don't know how to lower the control arm
heeaaaaalllp
I have not done a Corvette, but have done other GM cars. Take "pickle forK" between the control arm and the spindle. You will hear a pop and the control arm will fall down.
One more thing, make sure you have a jack under the control arm or you may hurt yourself.
