Default Halltech CAI install

I'm looking for someone who has installed the Halltech CAI kit, and can give me some pointers about how to do it. The instructions are pretty poor, and I'd like to have some guidelines when I start. I'd hate to have to pay a shop to do it as the kit wasn't cheap to begin with. I'll probably have access to a lift.
Thanks.

I installed one about a month ago and it is much easier than the instructions from Halltech. There is a thread called "problems installing Halltech CAI" (I thinK) somewhere in the C6 general forum that goes through the process. I read through the posts several times, with trips to the garage in between. The info made sense, and I finished the install without much fuss.
Some things that may help:
You will bend the Halltech unit pretty much in half to get it into that space, but you'll bend the factory unit you remove more.
You will essentially remove the front 3 - piece rubber air dam, and most of the front brake air intakes.
I took things apart from the center out, working back and forth on both sides - I have a thing about symmetry - and it allowed me to look ahead, as well as keep all the pins/bolts in order.
It really is easy - and you'll get to see just how close you've come to some of those curbs.
Good luck!

Have you contacted Jim Hall @ Halltech?? I'm sure he'll address any/all your questions.

I talked to Jim, who admitted the instructions are cr*p. He suggested I just take it to a shop and let them do it.

Easy? I did it and thought it was a PITA. The second time would go twice as quick, but I'd go with a Honker if I were doing it over again. No question. It's also easier on ramps than a lift.
