Default Headers

I have been doing some reading on the multiple long tubes that are out for this car but am a little confused. I see that kooks makes a nice set, LG has two sets, and there are a few others but those seem to be the most possible. What is the difference in the two types of LG? They seem to be like 600 bucks in price difference but what are the power difference as well as feature difference. I plan to run bullets, and have not decided to run cats or not yet but just want to get the best header available for the best price. I also plan to lower the car so id like as much ground clearance as well.

The premium LG's have a more expensive "racing" type collector on them. Probably good for several HP. The LG's also have longer primaries than the Kooks, which gives them a little more torque. You'll be happy with any of the three.

Which LGs did you go with? The pro or the standard?

They went on my dad's car... w/ cats... I don't know the difference between Pro or standard. I assume they are the standard.

I don't believe the LG "Street" headers are available for the C6 yet, only C5, so you should have the "LG Pro Long Tubes" on your dad's car.

I have installed a dozen sets of Kooks headers on bone stock C6's which all picked up over 30 RWHP and 30 RWFT. This was consistent with every one. Hands down one of the best mods for the C6!

I'm thinking of putting headers and corsa sport exhaust I need cats because of emissions testing. Is there any kind of problems I will have to worry about after the install? Like CEL etc.
