What suspension do you have? base, Z-51 or F-55?
It sounds to me it means you have to take it in to the dealer.

I have a Z51 package. I took it to the dealer and the problem was fixed

the problem was with a sensor that is attached to the shock absorber from the upper side.

the sensor was replaced and the message is gone.

Are you sure you don't have the F55 package? Selector switch on the console? Your alert is an F55 alert:

"SERVICE RIDE CONTROL: This message is used to
indicate to the driver that the Selective Ride Control
system has detected a malfunction and that the system
must be serviced. See your GM dealer. If a fault is
present in the Selective Ride Control system which
causes the shocks to be in their full soft condition, the
SERVICE RIDE CONTROL, SHOCKS INOPERATIVE,
and MAXIMUM SPEED 80 MPH (129 km/h) will
display together." (pg 3-62)
