Default bullets vs. straight pipes;sound difference?????

i can do a straight pipe set up (no mufflers) on the c6 for about 200 bucks. just hack off the mufflers and add straight pipeing with some nice 3'' chrome tips. is their a sound ifference from the bullets?
not worried about drone or car being too loud.

Excellent question I was thinking exactly the same! I seriously can't justify $1,000 bucks for basicaly the same set-up from BB it doesn't seem possible that your/my idea would be much if any different in sound.

I'm deff going to a muffler shop and having them fab this up for me skrew the $1,000 price tag man...

The resonator does seem to add a little growl to the sound of it. I tried starting mine straight piped when I installed the B&B's and it was just a little louder. The sound the resonator adds is more powerfull, but NOT much quieter.

Interesting, I don't know for sure but doesn't our stock C6 exhaust come w/reso's?? can't I just leave them on and remove the Mufflers as the 1st poster asked?

Straight thru pipes will not be nearly as loud.
I completly gutted my mufflers, have no cats and headers, it's still not very loud. I basically have stright thru pipes, they just have a can in the middle

I guess that would work, but for the real straight pipes, it would all want to come out.

pretty much what i wanted to hear. i thought the bullets came with resonaters, but still cant justify $1000. dont want just loud, but loud and powerful. maybe instead of plain chrome tips i'll check out some resonated chrome tips. i'll keep ya posted so we can save some money from these $1000+ exhaust systems.
