I have a 2005 convertible with 3,000 miles and its been a while since I have posted. I seem to have had a problem with my manual trans. shifting into first gear from a stop, the linkeage is getting stuck and I need to down shift to second before it will go into first. Anyone experiencing this or is there a bulliten from GM about same????
I have the same issues on occasion. I thought that I had read about a TSB that if you had the problem more than 15% of the time GM would look at the issue. If not its not a major problem, at least to me.
I have the same issue. They will only honor the TSB if you fall within certain vin numbers. I think they replace the synchros in first gear. They would not fix mine. It is the most annoying "feature" of the car for me. I am pondering buying the parts and having the work done.

i would suggest doing the "mystery oil" route first..... cost was 40 bucks for the tranny fluid swap and 5bucks for the marval mystery oil additive... so far two days later and zero issues shifting...
Corvettes Of HOuston did the work for me...
- and im not sure if the "royal purple" is any better...
Have the problem, more so when I turn off the GAGS using the Predator. I find heel & toe downshifting 3th & 2nd helps regardless of whether GAGS is on or off. I tried Royal Purple which improved shifting in general, but it did little for the problem Frankly, I don't have enough faith with any of the dealers around here to have it fix'ed under the TBS.
