Default Rust on Z51 rotors

every time i park my new 06 for a few days, the rotors form surface rust on them till i drive it and scuff it off with braking. my silverado rotors dont do that. whats up!!

That the norm for all rotors, you wash the car and the rotors will rust over in an hour, once you drive the car a few feet the rotors will get cleaned off

My Baer rotors don't do it, but they cost $1,400..........

Your Baer rotors are also Zinc washed so they won't rust. Once you get a few miles on them however, the zinc coating will wear off and they will rust eventually too. The area that is swept by the pads will wear off. I know, I used to have Baer Eradispeeds on my 99 Trans Am.
