Default MAF cold tune

has anyone installed an aftermarket MAF with the cold air tune, does it cause any issues electronically such as check engine light?

i was told by my dealer my warranty is valid so long as i dont crack the block or mess with the computer :-)

Stock MAF is the best way to go. Ask some of the forum tuners, I think they will tell you the same thing.

I do have personal experience with this on a C5 unfortunately. No power increase and an engine light for my trouble.

I wouldn't bet on that.

If there is a benefit to using a larger/aftermarket MAF it will require a speed density tune to properly dial in the MAF table so as to not get a check engine light. PHIL97svt is good at that sort of thing. I have read that cutting the center car in the middle of the existing MAF will yeild better airflow, but as I have already said the MAF table needs to be revised.

Good luck and if you do it, let us know how it worked out.
