If you are talking about the 3-part front chin spoiler, I just completed the job last night. It requires loosening 2 nuts and 5 screws that hold the front fascia (bumper cover) on. Inserting the center piece was a bit tricky for me. It has tabs that are supposed to go above and below a horizontal metal tube. Getting all three of the upper tabs over the bar was the challenge. It just took a little extra grumbling. ;-)

If you are referring to the 3 piece Chin Spoilers, i took the two outer ones off and cut the middle one up 2.5" from the bottom. It is totally unecessary unless you want to go over 140 mph and avoid front end lift. The benefits to taking off the side ones and trimming the middle one are as follows:
1. Looks alot better than the mangled factory chin spoilers do after a few thousand miles of scraping .
2. Doesnt cause any overheating of the coolant or oil, whatsoever.
3. Doesnt cause any brake overheating or brake smell if driven normally in city traffic. (On AutoCross, it may). Plenty of air still gets funneled to the brakes via the front intake for each side.
4. Allows good air cooling of the Headers and/or exhaust system which keeps the inside of the cab cooler around the tunnel area.
5. In my opinion...looks much better without the factory chin spoilers in place.
Its your choice though ; just wanted to give you a heads up. Thats all.
